Kazan VIA "Volga-Volga" appeared in the new music video "Our Neighbor"

      The music project #MUSICTOGETHER presented a new work featuring the Kazan ensemble "Volga-Volga" — a music video for the song "Our Neighbor," filmed in picturesque locations across the Volga Region.

      As part of the creative cycle "Songs of the Great Country. With Love from the Volga Region," the premiere of the music video for the composition "Our Neighbor" took place. A distinctive feature of the new work was the participation of the famous Kazan vocal-instrumental ensemble (VIA) "Volga-Volga," which gave the familiar melody a modern sound. The artistic director of the group, Anton Salakaev, shared that the musicians had long dreamed of collaborating with the project and gladly presented their version of the song, associated with warm childhood memories.

      Filming of the video took place in the most picturesque corners of the Volga Federal District. Viewers will see the architectural ensembles of the Brugge Embankment and Arkhangelskaya Sloboda in Yoshkar-Ola, the austere Budilnik monument and the romantic embankment of Orenburg, as well as recognizable places in Samara — Leningradskaya Street near Beloturka and the famous "Samara Goat" sculpture. On screen, folk instruments — the domra and the garmon (Russian accordion) — harmonize with modern arrangements, and an energetic dance fills the composition with special drive.

      In addition to the Kazan musicians, the project included People's Artist of the Republic of Mari El Albert Musinsky, Honored Artist of Mordovia Alexander Bardin, and the folk ensemble "Sloboda" from Kirov Oblast. In total, the large-scale creative project brought together more than four hundred artists from fourteen regions of the Volga Region.

      This is already the fifth musical work in the series "Songs of the Great Country." Earlier, viewers saw videos for the well-known compositions "The Volga River Flows," "I Look Into the Blue Lakes," "How Young We Were," and "It's Fun to March Together." Seven video stories are planned in total, available on the official resources of the #MUSICTOGETHER project, the website of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Volga Federal District, and regional TV channels. The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the "DNA of Russia" program.
