Happiness Called Family: The Life Journey of Zamfera Minnekhanova

      A woman lives in the village of Popovka whose story is a lesson in resilience, love and true values

      "What is a woman's happiness? In motherhood, and a mother's happiness is in her children." These wise words, spoken by 75-year-old Zamfera Minnekhanova, are not just a pretty phrase. They are the quintessence of her whole life, filled with work, love and the gentle sorrow of losses. Her life began in the village of Popovka in the golden autumn, and for 75 years she has been a living history of this region. Today she looks back with pride on the path she has traveled, remembering both hardships and joyful moments, but her greatest wealth is the respect and love of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      A fateful milestone came in 1971, when Zamfera arrived in the village of Popovka. There she met a young farm machinery operator, Askhat. The spark of love ignited instantly, and a year later they were married. Together they walked hand in hand for 47 years, giving life to three children. Askhat Minnekhanov worked conscientiously all his life in agriculture as a machinery operator, and his wife Zamfera, after many years working in the library, served for 25 years as secretary of the Popovka village council and then headed it for four years.

      "We were at work all day. Mother, my mother‑in‑law, looked after the children," Zamfera Minnekhanova recalls warmly. Amazingly, she lived in friendship and harmony with her mother‑in‑law for 16 years, and it was the grandmothers who were entrusted to choose the names for the grandchildren. The youngest's name, Naili, was given in honor of a beloved teacher.

      Today, at 75, this tireless woman does not sit idle, working as a cleaner at the village medical point. Her life energy has been passed on to her children. Ilshat works as a driver, Guzaliya works in the insurance sector, and together the family runs their own shop in Zainsk. The children grew up not only hardworking but truly loving.

      "Mom is the kindest person in everyone's life. A mother's wise advice gives us strength and inspiration. We gather at mom's for every holiday. Both the grandchildren and the great‑grandchildren love her. Very hardworking, patient. We wish her health and many years of life," says daughter Guzaliya.

      But even that is not enough for Zamfera Minnekhanova's big heart. When the country stood to defend its borders, she did not stay on the sidelines and actively participates in supporting participants in the special military operation: she goes to the village club to weave camouflage nets, and together with the nets sends care packages to the fighters, the collection of which her daughter helps with.

      "May all women raise good children; the main thing is that they be healthy," Zamfera Minnekhanova wished as she said goodbye.

      One wants to answer: "Amen!" And to add from myself: may only tears of joy flow from the eyes of all mothers, and may their faces be lit by smiles.
