The "Winter in Tatarstan" project is being launched in Tatarstan.

      A project called "Winter in Tatarstan" is being launched in Tatarstan; it will become a seasonal continuation of the successful summer initiative. The program, initiated by the Rais of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, will combine hundreds of outdoor events into a single poster.

      According to preliminary estimates, more than 1,500 different activities will take place in the region over the winter season at 900 public spaces. Already at the project launch on December 1, the poster includes over 450 events. The program will also integrate events of the winter festival "Kurshe", which has already begun its work.

      As Nailya Zinnatullina, director of the Institute for the Development of Cities of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted, the project is intended to prove that public spaces can remain comfortable and popular places for recreation in cold weather. Special attention will be paid to traditional holidays — New Year, Maslenitsa, Christmas and Nardugan.

      The project is aimed at developing the urban environment, supporting local initiatives and creating an inclusive cultural agenda accessible to all residents and guests of the republic. The success of the summer season showed high public interest in such formats of outdoor events.
