The traditional Decade of People with Disabilities, which runs from December 1 to 10, has begun at the Spassk nursing home for the elderly and disabled. The opening of the week became truly festive thanks to a creative gift from a folk ensemble.
The Nina Ilyushina Folk Choir "Bolgar Spring," under the direction of Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasily Koshcheev, performed for the institution's residents. The artists sang lyrical songs about their native land, maternal love and life’s values, and also recited moving poems. “Such meetings fill our lives with the warmth and joy of communication,” one of the nursing home residents shared. “We not only listened to wonderful songs, but happily sang along with the performers, feeling their sincere support.” The concert took place in an atmosphere of heartfelt closeness and mutual gratitude. The choir’s creative visit set a positive tone for the entire decade, aimed at supporting and socially integrating people with disabilities.
