The head of the White House, Donald Trump, said that the corruption problem in Ukraine is negatively affecting the process of reaching a peaceful settlement.
"Ukraine has complicated problems... They have a corruption situation, it definitely doesn't help," Trump said while speaking to reporters aboard a plane en route to Washington from Florida.
The day before, Trump commented on "tight deadlines" for ending the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, he does not plan to set any deadlines for Moscow regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
Recall that the day before a meeting between Ukrainian and US delegations concluded in Florida. At that time the head of the Kyiv delegation and secretary of the NSDC, Rustem Umerov, called the negotiations "productive and successful." The meeting of the delegations itself took place at the Miami Golf Club, not in a government institution.
