      Today at the gala concert of the VI All-Russian cultural and charitable festival of children's creativity "Kind Wave" in Kazan, People's Artist of Russia, composer Igor Krutoy and stars of the Russian pop scene — Alsou, Vladimir Presnyakov, Natalia Podolskaya, and Akmal — will perform together with the participants. This was announced at a press conference dedicated to the festival.

      "Congratulations on holding it for the sixth time; it's quite successful, children see themselves on the screen, their dreams come true," Krutoy said. "We try to do this as much as possible."

      Behind them is the final stage, in which more than 100 children and teenagers from all regions of Russia participated. The gala concert at the concert hall of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism will be hosted by TV presenters Vadim Takmenev and Olimpiada Teterich.

      "2025 is special for us — for the first time in history there are two waves: Kind and New in one city," said Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin. "Igor Yakovlevich, we dreamed about this with you more than 10 years ago and the ideological inspirer is our maestro Igor Yakovlevich. In his big, warm, talented, beautiful heart there is room for everyone sitting in the hall and those who are not here. Thousands of children have passed through his caring hands and, thanks to his talents, have become known beyond our country."

      The selection rounds of "Kind Wave" were held in 11 Russian cities: Kazan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Sevastopol, Khabarovsk, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, and for the first time — Grozny, Donetsk and Luhansk. The free contest is organized by the Academy of Popular Music and the Kazan mayor's office with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. This year the festival covered 2,000 people.

      "Kind Wave" has been held annually since 2017 to support talented children with disabilities and teenagers who find themselves in difficult life situations. The initiators of the contest were the mayor of Kazan and composer Krutoy. Over the time the festival has taken place, 12,000 children from across the country have participated. "These are special children who did not have the opportunity on a national scale to declare their talent. Each such contest was accompanied not just by excitement, but by being moved by one performance or another. Every time it was a collaboration with famous artists," Metshin said, and thanked the artists.
