      A New Year’s event will take place in Kazan that will turn an ordinary trip on public transport into a small magical adventure for city residents.

      From January 1 to 6, a special “Father Frost’s Magic Tram” will run on route No. 5 in Kazan. Passengers on this unusual service will get a unique opportunity to plunge into a festive atmosphere while en route. According to the city administration’s press service, every day from 14:00 to 15:30 residents and visitors of the capital of Tatarstan will be able to ride in a festively decorated tram car. The program includes a meeting with the main New Year characters, participation in an exciting gift raffle, and interaction with a magical talking hat that, organizers claim, can read minds. Popular Snow Leopard and the symbol of the coming year – a little horse – will act as Father Frost’s helpers.

      This festive service will be just one of many events within the large-scale city program. According to Vesti.Tatarstan, five hundred different events are planned in Kazan as part of the “Winter in Kazan” project until the end of the January holidays. Thus, the “Magic Tram” will set the tone for a whole series of festive activities.

      Earlier it was reported which gifts are most desired for the New Year. As the study showed, residents of the region have radically different expectations for New Year’s gifts depending on gender. The majority of men surveyed (59%) would prefer a romantic dinner and intimacy with a loved one, while most women (57%) consider a trip to be the ideal gift.
