There has been a temporary adjustment to public electric transport operations in Kazan. Due to a utility accident caused by a burst water main, the route of trolleybus No. 8 has been changed. This was reported by MUP “Metroelektrotrans.”
The accident occurred on Orenburgsky Trakt, near building No. 35 in the area of the Universiade Village. As a result, a significant amount of water spilled onto the roadway, making it impossible for trolleybuses to pass through that section. Information about the incident was promptly forwarded to MUP “Vodokanal” for remediation.
In connection with this, the route of trolleybus No. 8 has been temporarily shortened. Trolleybuses now run only from Freedom Square to Tankovoye Ring and back. Trips through Tankovoye Ring toward the Universiade Village and further along Orenburgsky Trakt are suspended until repair work is fully completed and the consequences of the accident are eliminated. The carrier urges passengers to plan their routes in advance taking this information into account.
