The design of the ring railway in Kazan has been completed.
The ring railway project in Kazan has been fully developed. The question of its financing is now being discussed, said Evgeny Ananyin, deputy chief engineer of the Gorky Railway for the Kazan territorial administration.
He emphasized that the project is already undergoing state examination and is considered complete from a design standpoint. Work is currently underway to determine the best way to organize financing to cover the costs of its implementation. After the appropriate decision is made, the project will be implemented.
Ananyin added that at the first stage it is planned to lay the track from Novoye Arakchino with an exit to Vosstanie-Passazhirskaya station.
He noted that the second stage of the project is more complicated.
"The section is geographically very difficult — there are cuttings and embankments up to 17 meters high. But to move on to the second stage, the first must be implemented first," the deputy chief engineer said.
