      - Leaving home for a long journey or to visit someone. Whoever left their home on this day risked spending most of the coming year separated from their family.

      - Quarreling and conflicting with loved ones. Any dispute begun on December 28 could drag on and lead to a serious falling‑out.

      - Sharing one towel or other personal items between people of different ages (the elderly and the young). It was believed that through shared household items the young could “take” health from the elderly, and the old could “pass on” their ailments to the young.

      Observing these traditions helped our ancestors spend the day not only in the spirit of honoring the saint but with practical benefit as well: devoting time to self‑development, doing good, and carefully preserving peace and health in their family.
