"The Turnip", Grandfather Frost and a disco: how the "Radost" center created a New Year's miracle for children
A real fairytale took place at the Comprehensive Social Services Center "Radost" in the Zainsk district on December 25.
Here, where attention and support are especially valued, the residents themselves gave the celebration, staging a theatrical performance and meeting with Ded Moroz. New Year is a time when magic should become reality for everyone — especially for those who most need care and attention. That is exactly what the festive meeting became for the clients of the Radost center's day-care unit, brightly concluding the outgoing year.
The main creative breakthrough was a theatrical production based on the Russian folk tale "The Turnip" (Repka). The center's pupils enthusiastically transformed into familiar characters, showing not only artistry but real team unity. Their sincere performances touched the hearts of the audience — parents, relatives, guardians and friends — and were rewarded with thunderous applause.
The climax of the celebration was the appearance of the main winter magician — Ded Moroz. He involved all the guests in fun contests and riddles, and the bravest participants recited poems and sang New Year songs for him. The warmth of the celebration was enhanced by gifts from the Zainsk Legal Advice Office, which became a pleasant surprise for every child.
The evening ended with an upbeat disco and a heartfelt tea party with sweets. Around one table, participants shared impressions, made plans for the coming year, and thanked the organizers for the wonderfully created festive atmosphere.
This meeting at Radost once again proved a simple and important truth: magic is born where there is a desire to give kindness, attention and sincere care. When loved ones gather to support one another, the most important New Year miracle happens.
