For the first time, a laparoscopic appendectomy was performed at the Zainsk Central District Hospital.
Modern trends in medical science in general, and surgery in particular, are characterized by the introduction of new technologies into the processes of diagnosis and treatment of diseases. New surgical technologies are gaining a priority position, including in the selection of surgical access.
On December 24, 2025, for the first time in the history of our hospital, a laparoscopic appendectomy was performed. This is a modern method of removing an inflamed vermiform appendix through small incisions in the anterior abdominal wall using specialized endoscopic surgical equipment.
Among the advantages of the endoscopic method are low invasiveness, reduced postoperative pain, fewer wound complications, shorter hospitalization and faster return to work, and a high cosmetic effect.
The operation was performed by surgeons Aptrakhimova Olga Petrovna and Ikhindanov Nabiyulla Murtazalievich. The patient was discharged fully recovered three days after the surgery.
The implementation of the laparoscopic appendectomy technique was made possible by equipping the surgical department of the Zainsk Central District Hospital with a new Esten laparoscopic surgical tower.
Also in 2025, the State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "Zainsk Central District Hospital" received a high-end ultrasound scanner and endoscopes for performing gastroscopy and colonoscopy. In addition, heavy medical equipment was acquired: a digital X-ray mammograph and an X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanner, which, after obtaining the necessary permits, will soon be put into operation.
