      Since the beginning of 2025, 17 automatic air quality monitoring stations (AAQMS) in the republic have conducted more than 3.4 million measurements. About one-third of all measurements — 1.1 million — were taken at five stations in Kazan, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan reported.

      According to data for December, no exceedances of permissible emission standards were recorded: pollutant concentrations remained within the norm.

      Residents can monitor air quality in real time via the “Environmental Map of the Republic of Tatarstan” service.

      Specialists noted features of the monitoring system’s operation: sometimes data may be absent if equipment is undergoing diagnostics or repair. During scheduled maintenance, the map may display elevated pollution readings — this is related to calibration and sensor adjustment, not to an actual deterioration in air quality.
