      FC Rubin from Kazan has settled on a candidate for the new head coach. According to the Telegram channel of insider Ivan Karpov, it will be the Serbian specialist Srdjan Blagojevic. Previously Blagojevic had already been close to moving to the Russian championship: his candidacy was considered at Moscow’s Spartak, but the parties did not reach an agreement. The Serbian coach’s last managerial job was in his homeland, leading Partizan Belgrade. Before that, the main contender for the post was considered to be Russian coach Vitaliy Kafanov. Rubin entered the winter break occupying seventh place in the Mir RPL table, having collected 23 points in 18 matches. The press actively discussed the possible dismissal of head coach Rashid Rakhimov, which, apparently, will take place.
