Naberezhnye Chelny is ready to welcome the New Year 2026!

      Today at the main city Christmas tree on Azatlyk Square at 7 p.m. the festive New Year’s program “Night of Happy Hopes” began. Creative groups from the city performed before thousands of Chelny residents.

      Chelny residents were congratulated on the upcoming New Year holidays by the city’s mayor, Nail Magdeev. He reminded that 2025 is a special year. The country marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the city must remember the heroism of past generations:

      “It is no coincidence that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. Today about 5,000 Chelny residents with weapons in their hands are defending the interests of our state in the zone of the special operation. Let us thank them with applause — they will surely hear it!

      In 2025 Naberezhnye Chelny showed worthy results: schools, social facilities and roads were built, and industrial enterprises operated. Our auto city, the capital of the automotive industry of the Russian Federation, performed admirably. To all of you, dear Chelny residents — our workers, foremen, engineers, designers, doctors, teachers, and workers of culture, education and sports — a huge human thank you for your conscientious labor.

      We want 2026 to bring us peace, and for peace and harmony to reign in every family. I sincerely congratulate you on the upcoming New Year. I wish you strong health, family happiness and well-being!”

      The coming year 2026 will be an anniversary year for the city. The city will mark two important events — the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the production of the first KAMAZ truck.

      The festive event ended with a fireworks display. The Administration of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny congratulates Chelny residents and city guests on the upcoming New Year and wishes them all the best!
