A 66-year-old fisherman who got lost on the Kama River was rescued in Tatarstan.
Yesterday a 66-year-old fisherman got lost on the Kama near the village of Berezovka in the Chistopolsky District of Tatarstan, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tatarstan reported.
According to the agency, the man had gone fishing in the morning with a companion, but something went wrong. The missing man had been expected on the shore since three in the afternoon.
The man answered calls, saying he was on his way, but did not arrive. He could not explain where he was or where he was going. The men had come from Leninogorsk and did not know the area.
Arriving rescuers conducted a visual search on the Kama by hovercraft and found the lost fisherman in the reeds two kilometers from the village of Kubassy in the Chistopolsky District. The fisherman was taken to shore and handed over to the police.
