The ski season has started at the new Vyatka resort in Mamadysh.

      The winter season was officially opened in Mamadysh at the ski resort, which now operates under the unified name "Vyatka." The new name, chosen after the river, has united three runs and the entire infrastructure of the youngest ski facility in Tatarstan.

      This season the facility came under the management of a private investor. The new operator plans to develop the resort not only in winter but also during the warm season. Over the next five years they intend to expand equipment rental, build cafes and restaurants, as well as chalets and hotel buildings. At the same time, management says it will maintain affordable prices and develop social and sports programs.

      The readiness of the slopes and safety issues were assessed by the head of the Mamadyshsky District, Vadim Nikitin. Unlike last year, when the opening was postponed due to a lack of snow, the resort is now fully prepared: an artificial snowmaking system is operational and the T-bar lift is functioning reliably.

      "Vyatka" is capable of accommodating up to five thousand guests a day. On holidays the runs are open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. The facility was created within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
