      Tatarstan has approved the operational plan "Buran" for the 2025/2026 winter period. This was reported by Ranis Fayzullin, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, at a meeting of the Emergency Commission in the House of Government of the republic.

      The purpose of the document is to ensure uninterrupted road and rail transport during the cold season. Maintenance of federal and regional roads, including toll routes, has been assigned to 17 contracting organizations. A fleet of 1,125 units of specialized equipment has been prepared for the maintenance of regional roads, including 345 combination road machines for spreading sand‑and‑salt mixture and 59 dump trucks for high‑speed snow removal.

      All necessary materials for winter road maintenance have been stockpiled in full. Hundreds of thousands of tons of sand, salt and sand‑salt mixture (SSM) have been prepared for regional routes; tens of thousands of tons of sand, de‑icing agents and SSM for federal roads; and tens of thousands of tons of sand, salt, de‑icing agents and SSM for local roads.

      Road condition monitoring is carried out using weather stations: 44 units operate on federal roads and 39 on regional roads. All weather stations passed pre‑winter checks.

      Duty rosters have been approved for federal and regional roads, security of transport infrastructure has been strengthened, and cooperation with the duty services of law enforcement agencies and rescuers has been established.

      Tatarstan's Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin instructed responsible officials to continuously monitor the situation and promptly inform the RSChS authorities. He also emphasized that, if necessary, the grouping of forces and resources should immediately move to higher states of readiness in accordance with regulations.
