      Heavy snowfalls hit Tatarstan on January 3, causing a noticeable complication of travel between cities. Because of the blizzard many roads were covered with snow and visibility decreased.

      As a result, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the republic issued a statement. Motorists are asked not to leave the cities and not to take to the highways unless absolutely necessary.

      It should be noted that the blizzard shows no sign of ending at the moment. According to meteorologists, the snowfalls and strong winds will continue through the night and may persist on Sunday, January 4.
