The Znanie.Academy platform has launched an online course on digital hygiene.
The Znanije.Academy platform announced the launch of a new online course, "Digital Hygiene: How to Teach Children Internet Safety," created jointly with the non-profit organization ANO "Digital Economy." The program is designed for teachers and parents and helps them understand children's behavior in the digital environment, as well as identify various online threats.
Upon completion of the course, teachers will be able to apply a systemic approach to the cybersecurity of schoolchildren, recognize the main types of online threats and their psychological impact, and conduct subject-specific lessons.
Parents will receive recommendations on fostering digital culture and safe online behavior in children, and will learn to timely notice signs of cyberbullying and other dangerous situations.
"In conditions of rapid development of digital technologies, it is especially important to develop in children in advance the skills of responsible and cautious behavior online. Digital hygiene becomes a key element of their safety: after all, an increasing number of threats surround a child precisely on the Internet. How not to succumb to them and how to respond properly should be explained by teachers and parents, to whom we have dedicated this course," noted the head of the platform, Alexandra Buychik.
The course is available to anyone on the Znanije.Academy platform. The program consists of 11 lessons with a total duration of 5 hours, allowing participants to study at a convenient pace. Each module includes a video lecture, a summary, additional materials, and tests to consolidate knowledge. Upon successful completion, participants receive a personal certificate.
Course speakers include experts in cybersecurity and psychology: Tamara Chechetkina, head of the "Digital Literacy" group of the Expert Council at ANO "Digital Economy" and VK expert; Elizaveta Belyakova, chair of the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment; Olga Ulyanina, head of the Federal Coordination Center for the Development of Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance in the Russian Federation's education system, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education; and Andrey Sidenko, head of the children's online safety direction at Kaspersky Lab.
