In 2025, about 2.4 million tonnes of milk were produced in Tatarstan — 82 thousand tonnes (3.6%) more than in 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reports. Average milk yield per cow reached 8,800 kg, which is 556 kg higher than the previous year.
Over the year the republic commissioned 18 dairy complexes designed for almost 10.2 thousand head of cattle. The largest of them are located in the Kaybitsky, Kukmorsky, Agryzsky, Baltasinsky and Arsky districts. At the same time, 19 more investment projects are being implemented, which will make it possible to keep an additional 15 thousand head of cattle.
Feed production infrastructure is also developing: in 24 districts of the republic there are 58 feed centers serving more than 215 thousand head of livestock. Over the past year five new centers were opened, and construction of three more continues in the Arsky, Atninsky and Sabinsky districts.
Tatarstan fully provides itself with livestock products. Per capita milk production exceeds the consumption norm by 61%, meat by 18%, eggs by 32%. Among the leaders in milk production volumes are APK "Prodprogramma" (Mamadyshsky district), "Kamsky Bekon" (Menzelinsky district), "Vakhitova" and JSC "Krasny Vostok Agro" (Alkeevsky district).
The ministry emphasized that the growth in milk production contributes to strengthening the food security of the region and the country as a whole. This is an important part of implementing the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," aimed at strengthening Russia's agro-industrial complex and achieving technological independence in the production of key food products.
