They plan to open a Russian-Indian health center in Tatarstan.
A Russian-Indian health center may appear in Tatarstan within the next two to three years. This was reported by Taliya Minullina, head of the Republic’s Agency for Investment Development, in an interview with TASS. According to her, the possibility of locating the complex in Zelenodolsk is being considered.
The idea of creating a center specializing in traditional Indian medicine was voiced back in October 2023 by the secretary of India’s AYUSH Ministry, Rajesh Kumar Kotechi, at the business forum “TIME: Russia — India. Mutual Efficiency,” which took place in Kazan. Kotechi emphasized that Indian entrepreneurs are showing interest in implementing the project in Tatarstan.
The AYUSH Ministry, established in India in 2014, is responsible for the development and promotion of Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy and other traditional Indian systems of medicine. Ayurveda, one of the world’s oldest medical systems, has existed for more than 5,000 years and is based on principles of harmony between body, mind and spirit. India has more than 800,000 practicing Ayurvedic doctors. The market volume for Ayurvedic medicines and services is estimated in the billions of dollars.
