      What to do with New Year’s salads that people are tired of eating, or those that have quickly spoiled? The residents of Almetyevsk found a simple way to get rid of unwanted festive dishes, but one that is quite problematic, especially for utility workers. Without much thought, the townspeople simply threw everything into the toilet and flushed.

      "The load on the sewage system traditionally increases during the holidays. Since the beginning of the New Year holidays, 48 blockages have already had to be cleared," reports the press service of the Almetyevsk executive committee.

      Thus, utility workers removed not only leftovers of New Year’s salads, but also tangerines, lemons, bones, rags, various personal hygiene products and wet wipes.
