A man evaded a fine for five years and was caught stealing alcohol in the Aznakaevsky District.

      In the Aznakaevsky District of Tatarstan, a man evaded enforcement of a court decision for five years. By court sentence he was to pay a fine of 40,000 rubles, but since 2020 he hid from bailiffs: he did not live at his registered address, did not answer calls, and did not use government online services. Bailiffs carried out search measures: they sent inquiries to various agencies, checked for official income and for new offences. All that time the debtor remained undiscovered. The man was detained by chance — in one of the district’s shops on suspicion of stealing alcoholic products. During the check it turned out that he was wanted by the bailiff service. After being served the documents and having the possible consequences explained to him, including replacing the fine with a stricter punishment, the debtor fully paid the debt. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Republic of Tatarstan.
