A crash on the Kazan–Buinsk–Ulyanovsk highway claimed the lives of two occupants of a passenger car.
Two people died as a result of a collision between a passenger car and a truck on the "Kazan – Buinsk – Ulyanovsk" highway in Samara Region. The accident occurred at the 377th kilometer of the route, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Samara Region reported.
According to preliminary data from the State Traffic Inspectorate, the driver of a Lada Granta entered the oncoming lane — at a place where this is permitted by the traffic rules — and collided with a heavy truck.
Two passengers of the passenger car died at the scene. The driver and one more passenger of the passenger car were taken to hospital.
Police are determining all the circumstances of the incident.
