Taliya Minullina said that Turkey remains the leading investor in Tatarstan.
Turkey leads in the volume of foreign investment in the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, told TASS. This is largely due to shared cultural and religious ties — Turkey also has a large Muslim population, which brings the countries closer together. Minullina said that investments from Turkey are mainly directed to manufacturing, as well as to real estate and agriculture.
In addition, Tatarstan’s economic ties with China are strengthening. This is because China has begun to replace European countries in the supply of equipment.
Minullina added that cooperation with other CIS countries is growing. Tatarstan is opening industrial parks and implementing investments in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. According to her, the republic is taking an active position in this direction, which is reflected in the growth of foreign investment.
Earlier Minullina said that investments in Tatarstan’s fixed capital will grow by at least 10% in 2025 compared to 2024. In the first nine months of last year, investments from extrabudgetary sources exceeded 1 trillion rubles, which is almost 34% more than in 2024.
