From January 1, tariffs for suburban rail transport in Tatarstan will be revised, and the most significant change will be the introduction of a fixed fare from the origin to the final station on the special "Kazan – Airport" route.
The CEO of the passenger company JSC "Sodruzhestvo", Azat Akhmetshin, officially announced that the ticket price on this route will be set at 150 rubles, which is almost double the current fare of 76 rubles, RBC reports. At the same time, in accordance with general indexation, at the start of the new year the cost of travel on electric trains in the first and second tariff zones across the republic will increase. The increase will be 4.5%, resulting in the price of a single trip reaching 46 rubles, equating it with the cost of travel on urban public transport. For comparison, in the current 2025 the established price was 44 rubles. The new fixed rate of 150 rubles will also be unified for trips to intermediate stops on the aeroexpress, including the stations Vakhitovo, Berezovaya Roshcha, Kombinat, Yuzhny Park, Yubileynaya and Stolbishche.
Currently, daily service between Kazan and the international airport is provided by 20 pairs of trains, with departures scheduled from 6:29 a.m. to 10:35 p.m. The distance between the route’s endpoints is 26 km, and the average travel time is 28 minutes. The carrier’s plans for next year include launching two additional train sets that will be transit on the Kazan – Albaba route with a stop at "Airport" station. This decision is aimed at increasing capacity and convenience for passengers traveling not only to the air hub but also to other settlements. It was previously reported that in Tatarstan they want to build toll bypass roads around district centers.
