The winners of the Russian checkers championship received well-deserved awards from the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Recently, a solemn awards ceremony was held at the City Palace of Culture to honor the prize-winners of the 31st Nurlat City and Nurlat District Russian Checkers Championship. The champion, Sergey Alexandrovich Zaytsev, won the gold medal, an honorary certificate and a commemorative gift. The silver medal went to Oleg Vasilyevich Pavlov. The bronze award was received by Alexey Vladimirovich Matavin. They were also presented with certificates and gifts from the Youth Affairs and Sports Department of the district executive committee.
The competition lasted three months, during which participants demonstrated high skill, strategic thinking and the ability to control the situation on the game board. Undoubtedly, the players’ level improves with each tournament, making the contests even more spectacular and intense.
