Water will be shut off in central Kazan because Shchetinkin's houses are being connected to the water mains.

      A number of buildings in the Vakhitovsky district of the capital of Tatarstan will be without cold water for almost a day. The press service of the municipal unitary enterprise "Vodokanal" has warned.

      Water supply will be cut off at 9:00 a.m. on January 24 and is expected to be restored only at 6:00 a.m. on January 25.

      The temporary inconvenience is due to connecting two water mains to buildings No. 32 and 34 on Baumana Street. These are the houses of merchant Shchetkinkin, which are being restored and are monuments of Kazan architecture of the 19th century.

      In particular, there will be no water at the following addresses:

      – Astronomicheskaya Street, buildings No. 15 and 17;

      – Baturina Street, buildings No. 5, 7, 7b, 8a and 12;

      – Baumana Street, buildings No. 1, 1 bldg. 1, 1 bldg. 2 and 3, 5 bldg. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, 7/10, 20/5, 22, 24, 26, 30 and 36;

      – Bolshaya Krasnaya Street, buildings No. 1, 1a, 1b, 1/2, 1/2 bldg. 1, 3, 3 bldg. 1, 3 bldg. 2, 5, 4, 5 bldg. 1, 5 bldg. 2, 5a, 5b, 5v, 6, 6 bldg. 2, 8, 9a, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13a, 14/17, 17, 18a, 22, 22a, 24, 24/13, 26/7, 30 and 32/15;

      – Kavi Nadzhmi Street, buildings No. 9, 11/8, 13/5, 15, 16/13, 17/23, 18, 18k2, 20, 22/25, 22a and 24;

      – Karl Marx Street, buildings No. 1/10, 1 bldg. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9/15, 11/12, 11a, 13, 15, 15/5, 17, 17a, 17 bldg. 1, 19, 21/5, 23/6, 25, 27/11, 29, 29b, 31, 31 bldg. 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, 12a, 14, 16a, 18, 20, 22, 22a, 22 bldg. 1, 24, 26, 28, 30/9, 32/12 and 36;

      – Musa Jalil Street, buildings No. 16/5, 18, 18/2, 19/3, 20, 21, 21/1, 21/19, 21 bldg. 3, 22/17 and 25;

      – Pravo-Bulachnaya Street, buildings No. 5/20, 7, 9, 13, 13 bldg. 1, 13 bldg. 2, 17, 19, 21 and 23/18;

      – Profsoyuznaya Street, buildings No. 1, 3, 4, 6, 5, 7, 9, 13, 15, 17 and 19/15;

      – Pushkin Street, buildings No. 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 29v, 29la, 31 and 31a;

      – Universitetskaya Street, buildings No. 12, 12/14, 13, 14, 16, 20, 22 and 34;

      – Fedoseyevskaya Street, building No. 52;

      – Chernyshevsky Street, buildings No. 2, 3, 4/2a, 5, 6/2, 7, 8, 9, 10/6, 16, 16k2 and 18/23;

      – Yapeyeva Street, buildings No. 1/9, 2, 4/12, 5, 6/20, 8/9, 8/2, 9/7, 9a, 9b, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13a, 15, 15/1, 15/3, 14, 16, 16a, 17 and 18.

      In addition, buildings located on Bekhtereva, Dzerzhinsky, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, Karl Fuks, Kremlevskaya, Lobachevsky, Mislavsky, Nagornaya, Professor Nuzhin, Rakhmatullin streets and Sheikman Drive will be completely without water.

      The shutdown will affect 68 apartment buildings and five private houses, 22 social facilities (schools, kindergartens, hospitals) and 161 administrative buildings.
