It was also proposed to legally establish an increase in the age limit for purchasing tobacco from 18 to 21 years. It was previously reported that the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan adopted a law that restricts the sale of gasoline to minors. Now, only children who are 16 years old and have a driver's license (for example, for operating a moped or motorcycle) will be able to buy fuel at gas stations. As one of the parliamentarians stated earlier, this bill will help reduce the level of child road traffic injuries in the republic.
