In the list of the twenty wealthiest women in Russia published by Forbes, two representatives from Tatarstan made the cut: private investor Lydia Sulteeva and chief advisor to the chairman of the board of TAIF Guzeliya Safina.
Two representatives of Tatarstan's business elite made it to the list of the twenty richest women in Russia according to Forbes. Thus, according to expert estimates, private investor Lydia Sulteeva (wife of the former co-owner of TAIF) ranked 9th with a fortune of $1.05 billion, while chief advisor to the chairman of the board of TAIF Guzeliya Safina was placed 20th with a capital of $500 million. As reported by "Evening Kazan," the source of Sulteeva's wealth was a 50% stake in the "Vulkan" holding, which previously controlled TAIF's assets. After the merger of "SIBUR" and TAIF in October 2021, former co-owners, including the Sulteeva family, received 15% of the shares in the merged company and bonds worth $3 billion. This allowed Lydia Sulteeva to enter the top 10 of the ranking. The publication clarifies that Guzeliya Safina, in addition to securities of "Sibur Holding" and TAIF, owns about 5% of the shares of "Avers" bank, which is among the top 50 Russian banks by asset volume. Her fortune is estimated at 40.3 billion rubles. Tatyana Kim, who holds the position of CEO of Wildberries & Russ, topped the ranking. Her fortune is estimated by experts at $7.1 billion. Forbes notes that in 2024, the combined wealth of the twenty richest women in Russia grew by 15%, reaching $21.5 billion.
