According to the data from the republican tourism committee, 590 out of 669 facilities successfully passed the inspection – these include hotels, campgrounds, recreation centers, and some sanatoriums. More than 90% of collective accommodation facilities (CAF) in Tatarstan have completed the mandatory self-assessment according to the new legislative requirements. Out of 669 facilities, 590 have already completed the procedure. As reported by the state tourism committee of Tatarstan, only those that need to clarify the type of accommodation remain. “The state committee is currently finalizing the lists of facilities that need to undergo self-assessment. The main collective accommodation facilities have already completed this procedure. There is a small category left where the type of accommodation needs to be clarified,” the agency's comment is quoted by the portal “BUSINESS Online.” In Kazan, the situation is almost ideal: all hotels, inns, and hostels are already included in the federal register. The only exceptions are facilities that do not fall under the requirements of the law: children's camps, medical institutions (except for sanatoriums), social and religious organizations. Currently, there are only two applications for approval in the capital of the republic and several facilities at the stage of confirming self-assessment. Some delays are related to changes in ownership or the need to provide additional documents. The agency noted its readiness to provide consultation and accompany the application to expedite and complete the self-assessment process. It should be reminded that from January 1, all accommodation facilities were required to undergo mandatory classification and be included in the register by September 1. Otherwise, if the owners did not manage to do this, they would not be able to accept guests, and the pages with their hotel or recreation center data would disappear from booking aggregators.
