       In Tatarstan, 26 winners of the republican competition "Doctor of the Year - Ak Chachaklar" will go for an internship, which will take place in Singapore at six of the country's largest clinics.

       26 winners of the "Doctor of the Year - Ak Chachaklar" competition from Tatarstan will undergo an internship in Singapore for 13.4 million rubles. The training program includes three stages: a preparatory module in Kazan, a 9-day practice in six leading clinics in Singapore, and final round tables, reports "BUSINESS Online". The doctors will study the organization of one of the best healthcare systems in the world – financing, digital services, telemedicine, the use of robotics and AI. Special attention will be paid to observing complex surgeries in the fields of transplantation, cardiac surgery, and oncology. Upon completion of the internship, each participant will prepare a report with proposals for implementing Singaporean practices in Tatarstan's healthcare. This is the first large-scale educational initiative of the republic with Singapore since 2018, opening new opportunities for the modernization of medicine in the region. It is worth noting that this year the winner of the annual "Doctor of the Year - Ak Chachaklar - 2025" award in Tatarstan was Lilia Basanova, the deputy chief physician for medical affairs of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. It was previously reported that at the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary, for the first time in the Republic of Tatarstan, doctors performed robot-assisted gastric resection. The unique operation was carried out by a multidisciplinary team of specialists under the leadership of the head of the second thoracic department, Tom Sharapov.
