The man was detained after passing through the "green corridor" at Kazan Airport, intended for those who do not have goods subject to mandatory declaration.
At Kazan Airport, one of the passengers on a flight from China was detained for attempting to bring in over 20 kg of commercial goods without declaration. The man passed through the "green corridor," but during a search, three boxes with unusual contents were found in his carry-on luggage. According to the press service of the Tatarstan customs, the luggage contained medical simulators, tools, medicines, electric motors, and even a desktop robotic manipulator. As explained by the 33-year-old resident of Tatarstan, he was bringing all these items as samples for market study and did not know that they needed to be declared. An administrative offense case has been initiated against him. An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident and the possible purposes of importing the equipment. The violator faces a significant fine for attempting to evade customs control. Previously, it was reported that a criminal case was initiated against a 19-year-old resident of Tatarstan, who is accused of large-scale fraud. According to the investigation data, the girl exploited a technical error in the operation of one of the marketplaces and ordered goods worth over a million rubles without payment.
