In Tatarstan, housing grants are being prepared for young scientists.

      In Tatarstan, a large-scale program to support young scientific personnel is planned to be implemented. The draft of the corresponding regulatory document is currently undergoing an anti-corruption examination. The initiative provides for the allocation of housing grants to the most promising researchers. As a result of the competitive selection, the winners will be able to receive 1.37 million rubles to improve their housing conditions. The funds obtained will be allowed to be used for various purposes: making a down payment when purchasing an apartment, paying for already purchased housing, or partially or fully repaying a mortgage loan. At the same time, compliance with established criteria and the presence of confirmed scientific achievements will be a mandatory condition for participation. Candidates for state support can be candidates of sciences up to 35 years old and doctors of sciences up to 40 years old. Additionally, a work experience in the scientific field of at least three years, significant results of research activities, as well as official registration as in need of improving housing conditions will be required. It is expected that the new program will become one of the tools for retaining young specialists in the scientific field and will increase the attractiveness of a research career in the region.
