In three districts of Kazan, water has been shut off or pressure has been reduced due to an accident on a 43-year-old water pipeline.

      In the Kirovsky, Vakhitovsky, and Privolzhsky districts of Kazan, water supply has been temporarily shut off. This is related to an accident on a 1200 mm diameter water pipeline built in 1983. The press service of the Kazan mayor's office clarified that the leak onto the road has stopped, and most importantly, it was possible to avoid a heat shutdown; the houses have been switched to the "Azino" boiler house. Currently, there are four pumping trucks on site, and tractors are removing ice and water.

      As later explained to "BUSINESS Online" by the press service of JSC "Tatenergo," on January 23 at 13:50, a coolant leak occurred from the thermal chamber of heat pipeline No. 4 on Vishnevsky Street. During the switching period, three residential buildings and one kindergarten have been disconnected. The situation is under control.
