The head of the Verkhneuslonsky district answered questions from parents and teachers.
At the Upper Uslon Gymnasium, a candid meeting took place between local authorities and residents, where plans for improvement were discussed and pressing everyday issues were addressed.
The meeting at the Upper Uslon Gymnasium is becoming a good tradition for the district. The head of the municipality, Evgeny Varakin, along with his team members and the deputy prosecutor of the district, Alsu Danilova, met with the parents of students and educators. The format of the event differed from usual official reports — it was a lively, open dialogue where everyone could ask pressing questions and receive answers directly from the leaders. The main value of such meetings became the opportunity not only to hear plans for the future but also to immediately discuss urgent problems that the authorities take under special control. At the beginning of the meeting, Evgeny Varakin spoke about the plans for the development of the district in the current year. In particular, work is planned to improve the Culture and Leisure Park in the district center. Funding for the reconstruction of the stands at the local stadium has already been confirmed, and a solution is being sought for the long-neglected children's playground in the same park. Housing construction will continue: this year, the construction of the third building under the social mortgage program will begin on Kashtanova Street. At the same time, negotiations are underway for the construction of another rental house for specialists who are expected to help close the staffing shortage in the police, schools, and other socially significant institutions. Plans also include continuing road repairs in the district center and modernizing water supply and sewage systems.
The most important and substantive part of the evening was the questions from residents. One of the appeals came from the widow of a participant in a special military operation from the village of Pechishi. The woman asked for help in cleaning the roof of her mother-in-law's house, the mother of her deceased husband. When asked by the head whether she had contacted the head of her rural settlement, the widow replied that he had redirected the request to the district leadership.
Significant time was devoted to two acute sewage problems. The first concerns the Pechishinsky tract, where constant blockages and, consequently, unpleasant odors arise because the residents themselves do not always use the system correctly, dumping food waste and household garbage into it. The second problem is in the Western microdistrict, where residents faced inaction from the management company, whose employees suggested they "take a stick and clean the pipes themselves" in response to complaints about the blockage. It turned out from the residents of the house that the section of the sewage network there was installed with violations, using unsuitable materials.
Another appeal concerned a serious drinking water leak on Solnechnaya Street. The owner of the main pipeline is aware of the problem but has scheduled repairs only for 2027. As residents noted, the volumes of lost water are enormous, and if converted to a monetary equivalent at the current tariff, the losses amount to hundreds of thousands of rubles. The head of the district instructed to take this issue under control and find a way to resolve it as a priority.
At the end of the meeting, Evgeny Varakin shared more long-term prospects. In the next couple of years, it is planned to build a sports ground in the Sady microdistrict, lay sidewalks and roads in new residential areas, and organize centralized street lighting in the Sady-3 microdistrict. The creation of a modern all-season football field and the opening of a children's football section at the sports school are also being discussed. In the long term, the possibility of building a new modern school in the Sady-3 microdistrict is being considered.
"The birth rate in the district center is low, and this is a restraining factor for the decision to build a school. So, I advise everyone to work on solving this situation," Evgeny Varakin addressed the women half-jokingly, half-seriously.
The meeting concluded with a rare phenomenon for such events — applause from those present. This became a vivid testament to the fact that the residents of the district support the authorities' course towards open dialogue and concrete actions to solve problems.
