Kamila Valieva announced her return to figure skating and revealed her upcoming plans.

      Olympic champion and multiple junior world champion Kamila Valieva made a long-awaited statement for her fans. The figure skater officially confirmed the resumption of her sports career and shared the schedule of her first performances. "Dear friends, I have important and exciting news — I have decided to return to the world of big sports. I won't hide it, emotions are overwhelming, but the feeling of anticipation for my upcoming return to competitive ice is much stronger. At the end of January, I plan to experience these feelings at the Russian Championships in jumps," the athlete shared in a message to her followers on social media.

      In addition, Valieva announced where viewers will be able to evaluate her new program for the first time. "I am especially looking forward to performing at the Channel One Cup in March, where I will present one of my fresh choreographies. For me, it will be a real celebration, and I will be endlessly happy if you support me at this new stage. Your belief in me has always been and remains my main inspiration," the figure skater added.

      Thus, the first test for Kamila will be the Russian Championships in jumps, scheduled for January 31 and February 1. Following this, from March 18 to 23, she will take to the ice as part of the exhibition competitions of the Channel One Cup. The return of one of the brightest stars of domestic figure skating promises to be one of the main events of the sporting spring.
