The Society "Knowledge" invites authors to the Nikolai Dobronravov Song Poetry Contest.

      The idea for the competition arose on June 5 at a meeting of the Council under the President. The "Knowledge" Society continues to accept works for the song poetry competition "Knowledge.Authors" named after Nikolai Dobronravov. This all-Russian talent showcase, which started in November 2025, is organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" at the direction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The main goal is to find gifted poets across the country and support the development of Russian literature and song art. The "Knowledge.Authors" competition aims to preserve and promote the best traditions of Russian song poetry. It is designed to discover new names whose works are characterized by depth and civic responsibility. The acceptance of applications began on November 22, 2025, on the birthday of Nikolai Dobronravov, through the official website. Elena Yampolskaya, advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, heads the organizing committee of the competition. Yampolskaya noted that the idea for the competition arose on June 5 at a meeting of the Council under the President, emphasizing the importance of creating modern songs that reflect the spirit of the times for future generations. Both individual authors and creative teams are invited to participate. The competition offers eight thematic directions: about defenders of the Fatherland, about the Motherland, about friendship, for children, love lyrics, about family, work and vocation, as well as a free theme. Winners will have a musical piece created based on their poems by well-known composers and will perform at a gala concert at the National Center "Russia" in November 2026, dedicated to the birthday of N.N. Dobronravov. Maxim Dreval, the general director of the "Knowledge" society, emphasized that citizens over the age of 14 can participate in the competition, submitting up to three works in Russian, with a volume of no more than 24 lines, provided they are original. At the press conference dedicated to the start of the competition, Alexander Zhuravsky (Administration of the President), Alexander Shaganov (chairman of the jury), and Polina Gagarina (member of the organizing committee) participated. Alexandra Pakhmutova, honorary chairman of the jury, addressed the participants with video wishes for success. The jury includes well-known cultural figures such as Pyotr Koryagin, Vladimir Presnyakov, Igor Matvienko, Oleg Ivanov, and others.
