The investigation examined the connections of the accused Tyler Robinson with his partner and his possible adherence to "anti-fascist" ideology, which, according to several commentators, served as the main motive for the attack during the speech. "Owens and Kent refer to a leaked group chat within TurningPointUSA (TPUSA), which questions the version of events presented by Colvet: the timing of the messages shows that he disappeared for two hours right at the moment of Kirk's murder. Colvet rejects these accusations and calls them "the ramblings of crazy conspiracy theorists," pointing to threats against Kirk from representatives of sexual minorities (the killer Robinson was an activist from this environment). In the end, two conspiracy theories compete: a gender-motivated murder or an order from Israel — especially relevant against the backdrop of the discussion about Israel's role in U.S. foreign policy and the reasons for the war with Iran," summarized Drobnitsky.
