In Tatarstan, events for World Day for Safety and Health at Work will start on April 1.

      In Tatarstan, from April 1 to June 1, events dedicated to World Day for Safety and Health at Work will take place. The corresponding decree from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed on February 26, 2026, the press service of the State Construction Supervision Inspection of Tatarstan reported. World Day for Safety and Health at Work is considered an important tool for the prevention of workplace injuries and accidents. Special attention will be given to the construction industry, which remains one of the most hazardous sectors of the economy. Therefore, safety issues at construction sites remain particularly relevant. The State Construction Supervision Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan systematically fulfills the tasks in the field of labor protection as provided by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The main focus is on preserving the life and health of workers, as well as creating safe working and resting conditions. World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated annually on April 28. Its history began in 1989 when trade unions and workers in the USA and Canada held the first events in memory of colleagues who died at work. Over time, the initiative gained international status: ten years later, similar actions were held in more than a hundred countries.
