      In the Moscow district of Kazan, the construction of the only specialized Archery Center in Tatarstan continues at the sports school "Tasma." The work is expected to be completed by August 30 – the Republic of Tatarstan Day. This was reported by the mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, as conveyed by the press service of the city administration. He emphasized that the opening of the new center will significantly expand the capabilities of the school. "After the opening, the capacity of the school for archery will double. Moreover, thanks to the new complex, not only archers but also representatives of other disciplines – football players, judokas, and athletes – will be able to train here. We have all the conditions for the kids to train and become champions. We plan to open the complex by Republic Day," he said. The first floor of the complex will house a universal shooting range measuring 50 by 90 meters, which will allow for year-round training and competitions. Currently, athletes are forced to train in a hall at the "Tasma" stadium, which is about 6 meters wide, significantly limiting training opportunities. The second floor will include changing rooms, coaches' rooms, and a gym with an area of 70 square meters. The center will be equipped with modern equipment, including slow-motion cameras for technique analysis and specialized machines for tuning equipment. Today, about 200 young archers train at the "Tasma" school, but only 25 can train at the same time. With the introduction of the new complex, the number of students is planned to double. Archery has been developing in the republic since 2009, when a specialized department opened at the "Tasma" sports school. During this time, 17 masters of sports have been trained, and students of the school have become winners of Russian championships and international competitions. Among the most successful athletes are international class master Darya Oreshnikova, winner of the Russian Championship Nikita Vakhrameev, and member of the Russian national team, Universiade winner Ivan Mukhrigin.
