       In Kazan, there were two incidents of an aggressive dog attacking children. As a result of the incidents, one pet died from its injuries, and the child sustained injuries.

       According to a correspondent for "Tatarstan News" from the TNV channel, both incidents involving the aggressive dog occurred on the same day. In the morning, a nine-year-old boy was walking his dog with a friend when another dog on a leash attacked it. The moment of the attack was captured on surveillance cameras. The child tried to protect his pet, but it sustained fatal injuries and, despite being rushed to a veterinary clinic, died three hours later. On the same day, the same aggressive dog attacked another pet, which was being held by a 12-year-old girl. The child sustained injuries to her arms, requiring medical assistance and rabies vaccination. Local residents caught the animal and handed it over to the capture service, but three days later, its owners – an elderly couple whose dog had escaped during snow removal – took it back. The owners have not yet contacted the victims. According to the Kazan territorial department of the Veterinary Service of the RT Cabinet, they face fines ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 rubles for causing harm to human health. This is not the first such case. Previously, in the case of a woman's death from a dog attack in Samosyrovo, the former head of the Housing and Utilities Committee of the Kazan Executive Committee was interrogated. In March, a working group of the State Duma discussed protecting citizens from attacks by stray animals. It was previously reported that euthanasia of stray dogs was permitted in emergency situations in Tatarstan. It is worth noting that earlier this year, it was reported that a pack of stray dogs attacked a 9-year-old girl near Kazan. As a result of the attack, the schoolgirl sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
