"Their eyes are shining": contractors have departed from Kazan to serve in the Unmanned Systems Forces

      Today, soldiers who signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for service in the Unmanned Systems Forces were sent from Kazan. Ten fighters left the "Patriot" center for training centers, where they will undergo preparation before further service. "All of them signed a one-year contract with the right to resign at its conclusion if they decide not to serve further. The fighters will serve only in the Unmanned Systems Forces and will not be transferred to other branches of the military without their personal desire," explained Viktor Nikitin, an officer at the military service selection point in Kazan. Among the contract soldiers are those who arrived from other regions of Russia – Mari El, Chuvashia, and Samara region. According to Viktor Nikitin, many are sent to serve specifically from Tatarstan, as they believe that the best contract conditions are offered here. Since the beginning of the year, about 300 people have been sent to serve in the Unmanned Systems Forces from Tatarstan. "Interest in serving in the Unmanned Systems Forces is growing. Many want to join, but only the best are accepted. The average profile of a fighter is a physically developed 35-year-old man with a secondary vocational education. Those who signed contracts made the decision to defend the Motherland, using their skills in the technological field," emphasized the selection officer. It is not uncommon for people without technical training to come to sign a contract — they learn about the new branch of the military on the internet. "You can see that their eyes are shining. This is wonderful. The main thing is that the candidate has a desire to learn," noted Viktor Nikitin. Priority is given to those who are interested in esports, robotics, and geodesy, as well as those who have higher technical education. A developed fine motor skill of the hands will be an important advantage. Training lasts from two months depending on the type of drone model. Training takes place at UAV manufacturing plants and training centers across Russia – in Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk regions, and the Moscow region. It is conducted by both company designers and instructors who themselves participate in the development and refinement of combat vehicles. It should be noted that starting January 1, Tatarstan increased payments to citizens wishing to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to 2.9 million rubles – one of the highest payments in the country and the highest in the Volga Federal District. Additionally, Tatarstan has adopted more than three thousand municipal acts aimed at supporting participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO) and their families. If the candidate meets the preliminary criteria for signing a contract in the Unmanned Systems Forces, their contact details will be forwarded to a specialist at the selection point. Fighters of the new forces will control everything that flies, swims, and moves on the ground without a pilot. This includes the famous "Geraniums," tracked drones "Strannik," and unmanned boats. The minimum contract term is one year. One of the main features of service in the Unmanned Systems Forces is that the contract is signed for a term of one year and is not automatically extended. Furthermore, the serviceman will not be transferred to other troops, and training will take place for at least two months in regions neighboring Tatarstan.
