      As of the end of 2025, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Tatarstan registered in the state digital marking system "Honest Sign" amounted to about 5,800. According to the press service of the system, this is 37.6% higher than the figure for the same period last year. The top five types of business activities of SMEs in Tatarstan registered in "Honest Sign" include retail trade by mail and the internet, food trade, restaurant activities and food delivery, dental practice, and retail clothing sales.

      "Honest Sign" consists of a small QR code and a unique digital code – DataMatrix, which carries information about a specific product. Using a smartphone and the corresponding application, one can verify the origin of a specific product. Based on the results of scanning the code, the application will provide information about the manufacturer, the date of production and importation of the product into the country, its composition, and expiration dates. Additionally, the product can be checked for legality. If the product code is not found in the system, the application will issue a warning.
