      The Tatar State Academic Puppet Theater "Ekiyat" will present the play "Mother's Field" on the stage of the Moscow Governor's Theater on April 3. The performance will take place as part of the 32nd competitive program of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask." The production is based on the novella by Chinghiz Aitmatov and represents a stage interpretation of the theme of maternal love, generational continuity, and the spiritual connection of a person with their native land. The play was created by director Ilgiz Zayniev, artist Sergey Ryabinin, and composer Milyaushа Khairullina. "This is not just recognition, but a great honor and, undoubtedly, a significant responsibility for our entire team. We are proud that our work has received such high praise and now has the opportunity to be shown on one of the main theater stages in the country," noted the theater's press service. The "Ekiyat" theater became the only group from Tatarstan nominated for the award in 2026. Previously, the play "Mother's Field" was recognized as the best in the "Large Form Performance" nomination of the "Tantana" theater award ("Triumph") - 2025, and also received the Grand Prix of the international puppet theater festival "Kursak-fest" in Ufa.
