The Vice-Rector of KIU at a meeting of pedagogical luminaries with students in a unique museum of Russia.
In the only museum in Russia dedicated to the creators of the Tatar alphabet, the Vagizov-Valitov "Elifba," an exciting meeting took place with veterans of pedagogical work and graduates of 1964, featuring the participation of the Vice-Rector for Continuing Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Daniya Zagriyevna Akhmetova. The Arsk Pedagogical College (at that time a teacher training college) is the ALMA MATER of our Vice-Rector. After graduating with honors from this strong educational institution, Daniya Zagriyevna, due to a shortage of teachers, was assigned as a teacher of the Russian language and literature for senior classes at the school named after Gabdulla Tukay in the village of Tukay-Kyrlay. At the same time, she continued her studies at Kazan Pedagogical Institute. Subsequently, she worked in the cities of Zelenodolsk and Kazan, studied in graduate school at the Russian Academy of Education, and defended her dissertations for the academic degree of candidate, then later for Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, receiving numerous awards and career advancement. She has been serving as Vice-Rector at our university for 27 years. Our Vice-Rector's speech was met with enthusiasm by the student participants of this meeting. After listening to our Vice-Rector's career guidance talk, they were convinced that every person in life is capable of self-development and making a scientific career—the conditions for any life achievement are hard work, the ability to overcome difficulties, having a significant achievable goal, faith in one's abilities, and that the capacities for this, including compensatory ones, may still be undiscovered, are present in everyone. The organizers of the meeting—Director of the Pedagogical College Gulnara Fidailevna Garipova and Director of the Museum Taziev Damir Gilemshaevich—expressed immense gratitude to the rector of our university, Asiya Vitalyevna Timiryasova, and Daniya Zagriyevna for their significant educational and methodological work, and for the invaluable books from the "Poznanie" publishing house that they received as a gift and a memento of this exciting meeting.
