The Kazan Garrison Military Court has chosen a measure of restraint for the military commissioner of Almetyevsk and the Almetyevsk district, Ruslan Kornikov, in the form of house arrest. The corresponding decision was made during the consideration of the investigative authorities' petition. Kornikov was detained by FSB officers in Tatarstan at the moment of receiving 700 thousand rubles.
According to the investigation, Kornikov offered to provide general protection to an individual entrepreneur for a monetary reward, who was engaged in recruiting recruits for participation in a special military operation. The military commissioner allegedly provided the businessman with contacts of men who had approached the military enlistment office with the aim of signing a contract. After that, the entrepreneur fictitiously processed the documents in such a way that it appeared as if he had brought these people in.
The investigation believes that from November 2025 to March 2026, four citizens were processed under this scheme. For each of them, the individual entrepreneur was supposed to receive so-called recruitment payments. The total amount was 1.2 million rubles, of which more than a million, according to the prosecution, was intended for Kornikov himself.
