The registry office reported a twofold increase in the number of large families in Tatarstan over the past 10 years.

      The number of large families in Tatarstan has doubled over the past ten years thanks to expanded social support measures. This was reported today by the head of the Registry Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, regional coordinator of the federal party project "Strong Family" Elvira Akhmetova at a meeting of the new composition of the public council of the federal party project "Strong Family" in Tatarstan. "In the republic, 65 social support measures are provided for families. There are more than 59,000 large families living in Tatarstan, and their number has doubled over the past ten years. Support measures for young families with children and student families have been expanded," she emphasized. Akhmetova reminded that the region provides unprecedented social support measures for families with children. Among them is a unique demographic measure - "rural payments" to mothers - residents of villages upon the birth of firstborns and third children in families.
