      Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, the facades of the residential complex "Atlantis Deluxe" in Kazan were illuminated in blue. This was reported by the press service of the Kazan mayor's office. The blue color is considered a symbol of support for people with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Such actions aim to draw attention to the topic of autism, raise awareness, and develop a more accessible and friendly environment. This date was established by the UN General Assembly in 2007 and annually unites countries around the world. On this day, educational events take place to help learn more about people with autism and the characteristics of the disorder. The blue lighting of buildings is part of the international campaign "Light It Up Blue," which has been held since 2005 and covers cities around the world. Russia joined the initiative in 2013, after which the number of participants in the campaign continues to grow. Residents of Kazan are also invited to join the campaign: decorate windows with blue lights, choose blue clothing, or tell loved ones about autism, thereby supporting the international initiative. In Tatarstan, support for families raising children with autism is provided by non-profit organizations, including the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Kind Kazan." They assist with rehabilitation, socialization, and integration of children into society.
